Prerequisites
  • The unit of measure to be used is active in Ölçü Birimleri (Units of Measure), and the product type in Ürün Türleri (Product Types).
  • If lot or serial numbers will be assigned automatically, a profile is defined in Seri ve Lot Numarası Profilleri (Serial and Lot Number Profiles).

The product card is the source of stock-related behavior: the base unit, the tracking type and the quality control requirement are read from the card's definition in all movements. Screen details: Product master data.

Steps​

  1. Open the Ana Veriler › Ürünler › Ürün Ana Verileri (Master Data › Products › Product Master Data) screen and click Yeni Ürün (New Product).

  2. Type the product name in the Ürün tanımı (Product description) field. The Ürün Kodu (Product Code) is suggested from the name and the product type's prefix; overwrite it if needed.

  3. Select the Ürün türü (Product type). The type brings the permitted usages and the defaults of the new card.

  4. Select the usage check boxes: Stok ürünü (Stock item), Satış ürünü (Sales item), Satınalma ürünü (Purchasing item), Üretim ürünü (Production item). The tab of an unselected box is closed.

  5. On the Genel (General) tab, select the Kategori (Category). If lots or serial numbers will be tracked, select the Ürün yönetme ölçütü (Product management criterion) (Lot Takipli / Seri No Takipli (Lot-managed / Serial-managed)) and, if needed, the Seri/Lot profili (Serial/Lot profile). If inspection is required on receipt, select Girişte kalite kontrol › Gerekli (Quality control on receipt › Required).

  6. On the Ölçü Verileri (Units of Measure Data) tab, select the Stok ölçü birimi (Stock unit of measure). This unit cannot be changed after the card is saved.

  7. If it is a stock item, enter the Minimum stok (Minimum stock) and Maksimum stok (Maximum stock) on the Stok Verileri (Stock Data) tab, and the planning strategy and procurement type on the Planlama Verileri (Planning Data) tab.

Result
The product card is saved as Aktif (Active). For unit conversions and barcodes, see Define units and barcodes; the initial stock is received with a goods receipt, a purchasing goods receipt or an opening balance.

What you need to know​

  • The base unit cannot be changed later; a service ↔ material switch is not possible (a new card is created).
  • The tracking type is selected on the new card; afterwards it can only be changed with İzleme Tipini Değiştir (Change Tracking Type) while the card is not in use (no stock, movements or open documents).
  • Every receipt of a card with Girişte kalite kontrol (Quality control on receipt) selected is posted to KARANTINA status and cannot be used until a quality decision is made.
  • Maksimum stok (Maximum stock) cannot be entered on its own; a minimum (which can be zero) must also be entered. The minimum cannot be greater than the maximum.
  • Do not create separate flat cards for size, color or dimension differences of the same product; use a configurable parent card and variants.
  • A duplicate code is rejected: "'{kod}' kodlu stok kartı zaten mevcut." (A stock card with code '{kod}' already exists.)
