Make-to-stock production
In make-to-stock production, the product is manufactured without waiting for a sales order; sales orders are fulfilled from existing stock. MRP decides when and how much to produce: it looks at the item's minimum/maximum stock, open orders and the entered forecast, and proposes planned orders for the shortfall. The planner converts the planned order into a production order; production is completed with consumption, operation confirmation and output.
The demo company produces MAM-0005 Dosya Dolabı 80X40X200 Beyaz (filing cabinet, white) to stock (planning strategy Stoğa Üretim (Make-to-Stock), procurement type Üret (Make)). The item's planning data: 6 units on hand, minimum stock 2, maximum stock 8, lead time 7 days. For a dealer campaign, the sales team forecasts sales of 6 units in December 2026 and 4 units in January 2027. Date: 02.11.2026.

1. Enter the forecast

2. Review and run MRP

On 01.12.2026 the available quantity is 0, below the minimum (2); because a maximum is defined, the proposal is 8 − 0 = 8 units. Start = 01.12.2026 − 7 days = 24.11.2026. In January 8 − 4 = 4 ≥ 2, so there is no proposal.

- Document effect: a draft purchase requisition (it remains a draft until you submit it) and planned orders. Stock does not change.
- Because the components of MAM-0005 are sufficiently in stock, no proposals were created for them.

3. Convert the planned order to a production order

4. Release the production order

- Release does not create stock movements and does not reserve material.

5. Post the material consumption

The six components that are not backflushed are consumed from their warehouse and storage location: HAM-0038 and HAM-0041 from Hammadde Deposu (raw materials warehouse) / PANEL-ALANI; HAM-0042, HAM-0045, HAM-0046 from Hammadde Deposu / RAF-C; AMB-0010 from Kimya Deposu (chemicals warehouse) / AMBALAJ. Document MS-2026-000005.
- Stock effect: HAM-0038 −31.68 M2, HAM-0041 −14.08 M2, HAM-0042 −117.6 M, HAM-0045 −32, HAM-0046 −16, AMB-0010 −8 ADET.
- HAM-0049 (Ayar Ayağı — leveling foot) and HAM-0066 (Sunta Vidası — chipboard screw) are backflushed: the consumption form shows "geri sarf — çıktıyla düşer" (backflush — reduced with the output); they are expected to be reduced automatically when the output is posted.

6. Confirm the operations

The four operations are posted as final confirmations with 8 good and 0 scrap; because the times are left empty, the server proposes them: TYD-2026-000005 (10), TYD-2026-000006 (20), TYD-2026-000007 (30), TYD-2026-000008 (40).
- No stock effect; the confirmed quantity and actual time of the operations are updated, and the capacity load decreases.
- If scrap had been entered, it would appear in the Fire Raporu (Scrap Report).

7. Post the production output

8 units of MAM-0005 are received into Mamul Deposu / RAF-M1 (finished goods warehouse); the backflush warehouse is Hammadde Deposu. Document UC-2026-000002.
- Stock effect: MAM-0005 6 → 14 ADET. The order is Üretimde (In Production), Produced 8 ADET (100%).
- The system attempts to reduce the backflushed components with the output. In this scenario they could not be reduced — see the troubleshooting below.

Backflush error and its resolution

The queue screen shows the same sentence without the line number. The image above shows the record after resolution (Durum (Status) filter Tümü (All), record status Kapatıldı (Closed)); while it is open, the line has the Yeniden Dene (Retry) and Kapat (Close) buttons.
Cause: Storage locations are not mandatory in Hammadde Deposu. In a warehouse where storage locations are not mandatory, backflush reduces stock without a storage location; but the stock of these components is in shelf bins (RAF-C, RAF-B). In a warehouse where storage locations are mandatory, backflush uses the item's default storage location in that warehouse.
Resolution (in this scenario): the two components were consumed manually from the order's Sarf Kaydet (Post Consumption) form by selecting the shelf bins (MS-2026-000009: HAM-0049 −32 RAF-C, HAM-0066 −256 RAF-B), and the records in the queue were closed with Kapat (Close) with the reason "Raf gözünden elle sarf edildi — MS-2026-000009" (Consumed manually from the shelf bin — MS-2026-000009). Alternative: transfer the stock to the breakdown without a storage location and click Yeniden Dene (Retry) (the warehouse and stock status can be changed). The output is not reversed.

8. Complete and close the order

The quantities are the values at the time the scenario was performed; other scenarios in the demo environment may have posted movements to the same items later. When MRP was recalculated at the time of the scenario, MAM-0005 showed: 14 − 6 (December) = 8, 8 − 4 (January) = 4; both are above the minimum, so there is no new proposal.
