# Create a production order > Open a draft production order from a released BOM revision — plan source, planned quantity and work center. A production order states with which BOM revision and in what quantity an item is to be produced. The order is opened as a **draft**; in draft, the quantity, revision and work center can be edited. ## Steps 1. Open the **Üretim › Üretim Yürütme › Üretim Emri Oluştur** (Production › Production Execution › Create Production Order) screen. If you are in the list, click **Yeni Üretim Emri** (New Production Order). 2. Type the code or name of the output card in the **Ürün ağacı ara** (Search BOM) box; select the BOM (with its alternative and revision) from the list. 3. Click the **PASLANMAZ ÇALIŞMA TEZGAHI 150X70 · Rev 1** card in the list. 4. Enter the **Planlanan Miktar** (Planned Quantity) in the output unit. The unit comes from the revision and cannot be changed; the decimal limit is shown under the field. 5. If you wish, select the **İş Merkezi** (Work Center) (the station for which the order is planned; where the work is actually done is recorded separately on consumption and output). 6. Save — order is created as Draft **Result:** The order is saved with the number **UE-yyyy-nnnnnn** in **Taslak** (Draft) status. There is no stock movement or material reservation; the requirements are created on release. If the card has several alternatives, the lot-size range is shown next to them. No order can be opened from an engineering BOM. - If the quantity produces a fraction in a piece-based component, the order cannot be released (no silent rounding). Example: the BOM of MAM-0008 has 25 cartons for 100 ADET (pcs); 50 ADET makes 12.5 cartons, and on release the message "… 'ADET' biriminin 0 ondalık basamak sınırını aşıyor" (… exceeds the 0 decimal place limit of the 'ADET' unit) appears. Set the quantity to a suitable multiple of the BOM's base quantity. - For a serial-managed output, the planned quantity must be an integer. - In draft, **Düzenle** (Edit: quantity, revision, work center), **Böl** (Split), **Tarihleri Planla** (Schedule Dates), **Malzeme Talebi** (Material Requisition) and **İptal Et** (Cancel) are available. When you leave an unsaved form, the system asks you. - **Ağaçsız Emir** (Order without BOM) (the button in the list): an order for a card without a BOM in which you enter the components manually. The component list can be left empty, but an empty order cannot be released; when the quantity changes, the components are not scaled. - If you are coming from planning, the order is converted from a planned order: [Convert a planned order](https://erpdocs.corexlogic.com/en/uretim/islemler/planli-emri-donusturme). ### Common messages | Message | English meaning | Cause | |---|---|---| | Planlanan miktar zorunlu. | The planned quantity is required. | The quantity is empty (form validation). | | Planlanan üretim miktarı sıfırdan büyük olmalıdır. | The planned production quantity must be greater than zero. | The quantity is 0 or negative. | | 'KART' üretilen kart olarak işaretlenmemiş — üretim emri açılamaz.
