# Correct consumption and output > Reverse an incorrectly posted material consumption or production output with a correction document that states a reason; the original document does not change. Production postings are not deleted or edited; an incorrect consumption or output is reversed with a **correction document**. In this way, the history of the stock and of the order remains traceable. ## Steps 1. Open the document from the **Malzeme Sarfları** (Material Consumptions) (or **Üretim Çıktıları** (Production Outputs)) tab of the order detail and click the **Sarf Düzeltmesi Oluştur** (Create Consumption Correction) (or **Çıktı Düzeltmesi Oluştur** (Create Output Correction)) link. ![Material consumption document](https://erpdocs.corexlogic.com/en/en/img/screens/uretim/sarf-detay.png) 1. Immutable document — correction is a separate record 2. Create Consumption Correction 3. Warehouse and location 2. Check the **Düzeltme Tarihi** (Correction Date; default today) and enter the **Düzeltme Nedeni** (Correction Reason) (required, at most 512 characters). 3. On the line to be corrected, check the **Bu satırı düzelt** (Correct this line) box; enter the quantity in the **Düzeltilecek Miktar** (Quantity to Correct) field or click **Kalanı doldur** (Fill remaining). Correction reason — required 2. Tick the line to correct 3. Quantity to correct — at most the remaining 4. Save Correction — stock returns 4. Click **Düzeltmeyi Kaydet** (Save Correction). **Result:** The correction is a new and **immutable** document; the original posting does not change. A consumption correction **puts the component back** into the warehouse/storage location/status it came from and reduces the requirement's Tüketilen (Consumed) quantity; an output correction **removes** the finished product from stock and reduces the order's Üretilen (Produced) quantity. It is listed in the **Düzeltme Geçmişi** (Correction History) section of the document. ## What you need to know - A correction can be made only on an order that is **Üretimde** (In Production) or **Tamamlandı** (Completed). After **Kesin Kapat** (Close Finally), the form does not open: "Düzeltme bağlamı yüklenemedi: Yalnız Üretimde ya da Tamamlandı durumundaki üretim emrinin sarfı geri alınabilir." (The correction context could not be loaded: consumption can be reversed only for a production order in In Production or Completed status.) - A document can be corrected several times, in parts; on each line at most the **Kalan Düzeltilebilir** (Remaining Correctable) quantity. - An output correction is a stock issue: the finished product is deducted from the warehouse/storage location it entered; if there is not enough stock there, the server rejects it with a stock message. - To cancel the order, all consumptions and outputs must first be corrected. - All output corrections are listed in the **Üretim › Analitik › Çıktı Düzeltmeleri** (Production › Analytics › Output Corrections) report. ### Example The **MS-2026-000003** consumption of **UE-2026-000001** recorded 12 M of pipe; 2 M were left over from cutting. **Sarf Düzeltmesi #1** (Consumption Correction #1), with the reason "Kesimden artan 2 m boru depoya iade edildi." (2 m of pipe left over from cutting returned to the warehouse.), put 2 M back into HAMMADDE / SAC-ALANI; the order's Tüketilen (Consumed) quantity of pipe fell from 12 to 10. ### Common messages | Message | English meaning | Cause | |---|---|---| | Düzeltme gerekçesi zorunludur. | A correction reason is required. | The reason is empty. | | Geri alınabilir miktar aşılıyor.
