# BOM comparison

> Compare the variant BOMs of a configurable product to work out for which values and in what quantity each component is used; propose a super BOM draft.

If a product has been produced for years with separate variant items (a separate item and a separate BOM for every
size, color or power rating), this screen compares those BOMs and proposes **a single super BOM**: for which
characteristic values and in what quantity each component is used is derived from the variants. The proposal is not
saved; if you wish, it is opened as a draft BOM.

## Usage

1. In the **Ürün** (Product) field, select the configurable product (the list shows the number of variants). If the
   product has no variants, the screen shows "'KOD' kartının varyantı yok — karşılaştırılacak ağaç yok." (Item 'KOD'
   has no variants — there are no BOMs to compare.)
2. The summary line shows the number of variants and BOMs and the distribution of components across types. If the
   product already has a BOM: "Ürünün N ağacı var — taslak sıradaki alternatif olur." (The product has N BOMs — the
   draft becomes the next alternative.)
3. Review the **Önerilen satırlar** (Proposed lines) table; **Dağılımı göster** (Show distribution) opens the quantity
   in each variant.
4. The **Varyantlar** (Variants) table (**Varyant** (Variant), **Değerler** (Values), **Ürün ağacı** (BOM): "Ağaç var ·
   Rev N" (BOM exists · Rev N) or "Ağaç yok" (No BOM)) shows which variants were included in the analysis.
5. **Süper Ağaç Taslağı Oluştur** (Create Super BOM Draft; with the create permission) opens the **Süper ağaç taslağı
   oluşturulsun mu?** (Create super BOM draft?) window; **Taslağı Oluştur** (Create Draft) opens a draft BOM for the
   selected product. The variant BOMs do not change.

## Line types

| Type | Meaning | Included in the draft? |

| **Ortak** (Common) | In all variants with the same quantity — an unconditional line ("Her varyantta" — in every variant). | Yes |
| **Koşullu** (Conditional) | A condition or formula reproduces the variants exactly. | Yes |
| **İstisnalı** (With exceptions) | The explanation excludes a few variants; **Kurala uymayan varyantlar** (Variants that do not fit the rule) are listed. | Yes — correct the exceptions manually |
| **Düzensiz** (Irregular) | Could not be explained with at most two characteristics ("Kural çıkarılamadı" — no rule could be derived). | No — add manually |

The **Ne zaman gelir** (When included) column shows the proposed condition (an option condition or an expression
containing `EGER`, `VEYA`, `DOLU`), and the **Miktar** (Quantity) column shows the fixed quantity or the formula.

The draft is not used in orders until it is published. Before publishing, test it in the revision with
**Yapılandırarak Dene** (Try by Configuring) ([Try by configuring](https://erpdocs.corexlogic.com/en/uretim/islemler/yapilandirarak-deneme)). If all
components are irregular, there are no lines to include in the draft: "Taslağa girecek satır yok — bütün bileşenler
düzensiz." (No lines to include in the draft — all components are irregular.)

> **Demo environment**
The demo company's configurable products were set up with a super BOM from the start; because there are no variant
items, the comparison returns the "varyantı yok" (no variants) message. The screen produces a proposal in an
installation that has variant items and BOMs.
