# Setup with data import

> From an empty installation to a working company — the load order of the master data workbooks, Validate and Import for each workbook, expected results and post-setup checks.

In a new installation, products, business partners, BOMs, prices and opening stock are not entered one by one on
screens; they are loaded from Excel workbooks through **Veri Aktarımı** (Data Import). Because the workbooks are linked
to each other by code, the **order** matters: a BOM needs its products, a routing needs its work centers, and the
opening stock needs its warehouses. Every workbook is loaded in the same two steps: first **Kontrol Et** (Validate —
writes nothing), then, if there are no errors, **Aktar** (Import).

> **Scenario**
A fictitious industrial company (CoreX Demo Endüstri ve Ticaret A.Ş.) — it manufactures electrical panels, office
furniture, stainless steel tanks, conveyors and chemicals, and sells to different sectors. The setup package consists of
eleven workbooks: 141 purchased and manufactured products, 62 business partners, 13 work centers, 19 BOMs and routings,
three price lists, 159 supplier prices, four warehouses, and an opening stock dated 01.10.2026 with a total value of
1,960,810 TL. The result counts below are the **Kontrol Et** (Validate) results of this package on an empty
installation.

## 1. Prepare the installation

## 2. Load the workbooks in order

For each row: open the screen → **Dosya Seç** (Choose File) → **Kontrol Et** (Validate) → read the result → if
**Hatalı 0** (Errors 0), click **Aktar** (Import).

### Loading a workbook (example: warehouses)

**Yönetim › Araçlar › Veri Aktarımı › Depolar ve Lokasyonlar** (Administration › Tools › Data Import › Warehouses and
Storage Locations) › **İçe Aktar** (Import) › **Dosya Seç** (Choose File) (`10-depolar-ve-lokasyonlar.xlsx`) › **Kontrol
Et** (Validate). Result counters and a per-sheet summary appear; on an empty installation all rows are **Açılacak** (To
Be Created). If the same workbook has been loaded before, all rows return **Değişmiyor** (Unchanged) — workbooks can be
run again, and a record is never created twice.

If **Hatalı 0** (Errors 0), click **Aktar** (Import). The job runs on the server; you can leave the screen. When it
finishes, the **Veri aktarımı tamamlandı** (Data import completed) notification arrives and the result is "Aktarım
tamamlandı: N kayıt açıldı, N kayıt güncellendi, N kayıt değişmedi" (Import completed: N records created, N records
updated, N records unchanged).

### If there are rows with errors

The validation result lists the rows with errors with **Sayfa** (Sheet), **Satır** (Row), **Kod** (Code) and
**Açıklama** (Description). Example: when an unrecognized warehouse type, a bin for a non-existent warehouse and a
negative weight capacity are written in the warehouse workbook:

Correct the file and run **Kontrol Et** (Validate) again. To correct the rows with errors later, **Hatalıları Atlayarak
Aktar** (Import, Skipping Errors) is also possible (not in Business Partner Import — there it is all or nothing).

## FAQ / Troubleshooting

| Situation | Cause and solution |
|---|---|
| "'…' ürünü bulunamadı." / "'…' iş ortağı bulunamadı." (Product '…' not found. / Business partner '…' not found.) | The workbook order was skipped. Import the linked object first, then validate this workbook again. |
| "Bu referansla açılış zaten yazılmış (…) — stok ikinci kez girmez." (An opening has already been posted with this reference (…) — stock is not entered a second time.) | The opening stock was imported before. The opening is a document, not an update; the same reference is not posted twice. |
| The leading zero of a code was dropped, or a tax ID turned into a scientific number | The cell is formatted as a number in Excel. The template and Export write text; set a manually added column to the **Metin** (Text) format. |
| "Aktarma yetkiniz yok — kontrol edip dosyayı yetkili kişiye iletebilirsiniz." (You do not have permission to import — you can validate it and pass the file to an authorized person.) | You do not have the object's `import` permission. Validation is still possible. |
| Loading on top of an old installation | If the codes match, the records are updated; if the coding has changed, the same goods are created a second time. If the coding has changed, load the package into an empty installation. |
