# Make a quality decision

> Release or reject goods in quarantine after inspection — partial decision, reason and second signature.

- **Prerequisites:**
  - The stock is in quarantine status (a receipt of a quality-controlled card or a production output).
  - You are signed in as a user other than the one who placed the goods in quarantine (second signature).
  - If the inspection plan has mandatory characteristics, the results have been entered on the **Kontrol Partileri** (Inspection Lots) screen.

A receipt of a quality-controlled card goes into quarantine, and an inspection lot is opened. After the
inspection, the quality specialist makes the usage decision.

## Steps

1. Open the **Stok Yönetimi › Kalite Yönetimi › Kalite Kontrol** (Inventory › Quality Management › Quality Control) screen; view the lines in quarantine on the **Karar Bekleyenler** (Awaiting Decision) tab.

2. Depending on the inspection result, click **Serbest Bırak** (Release) or **Reddet** (Reject) on the line.

3. Check the **Miktar** (Quantity) (reduce it for a partial decision), and enter the **Gerekçe** (Reason) and, if available, the **Referans** (Reference) (certificate of analysis, inspection report — AK-261020-09 in the example).

4. Confirm with **Serbest Bırak** (Release) (or **Reddet** (Reject)) in the window.

5. View the decision in the **Kalite Kararları** (Quality Decisions) list opened with the **Kararlar** (Decisions) button and in the inspection lot details: the lot becomes **Karara Bağlandı** (Decided), and the **Kullanım Kararları** (Usage Decisions) table shows the decision and the target stock status.

**Result:** The released quantity moves from KARANTINA to the default stock status (SIFIR) and becomes available for shipping, consumption and transfer. The rejected quantity moves to **Reddedildi** (Rejected) (RED) status and goes to scrap or a return to the supplier from the **Reddedilen Stok** (Rejected Stock) tab. The decision posts a **Stok Durumu Değişimi** (Stock Status Change) movement (source 'Kalite Kararı' (Quality Decision)).

## What you need to know

- Demo example: Demo Kullanıcı placed the goods in quarantine, so that user cannot make the decision: "Bu stoğu
  karantinaya siz aldınız — kalite kararını başka bir kullanıcı vermelidir. Malı içeri alan ile serbest bırakan aynı
  kişi olamaz." (You placed this stock in quarantine — another user must make the quality decision. The person who
  received the goods and the person who releases them cannot be the same.) The decision for **KP-2026-000001**
  (SLES-2611-004, 400 KG) was made by **Demo Onaylayıcı** (Yönetici (Administrator)): 400 KG was released, the
  decision document is **KLT-2026-000001**, and the lot is **Karara Bağlandı** (Decided) (Serbest · Red · Açık
  (Released · Rejected · Open): 400 · 0 · 0). In Stok Hareketleri (Stock Movements), a pair of **Stok Durumu
  Değişimi** (Stock Status Change) movements with source **Kalite Kararı** (Quality Decision) was posted: an issue
  of 400 KG from KARANTINA and a receipt of 400 KG into SIFIR (KIMYA / IBC-ALANI, lot SLES-2611-004).
  **KP-2026-000002** (SLES-2611-005, 50 KG) is awaiting a decision.
- The decision can also be made from the inspection lot details (**Serbest Bırak** (Release), **Reddet** (Reject));
  if there is an inspection plan, first click **Sonuçları Kaydet** (Save Results).
- A partial decision is possible; the remainder stays in quarantine. Excess quantity: "'\{kart\}' satırında
  karantinada \{m\} \{birim\} var; \{q\} için karar verilemez." (There are \{m\} \{birim\} in quarantine on the
  '\{kart\}' line; a decision cannot be made for \{q\}.)
- A reason is mandatory: "Gerekçe zorunlu — karar malın kullanılabilirliğini değiştiriyor." (A reason is mandatory —
  the decision changes the availability of the goods.)
- A rejection cannot be reversed; **Reddedilen Stok › Red Kararını Düzelt** (Rejected Stock › Correct Rejection
  Decision) records a new release decision with a reason.
