# Pack a delivery

> Place the items of an open outbound delivery into handling units (carton, pallet, crate) and print labels.

  - The delivery is in **Açık** (Open) status (packing cannot be changed after goods issue).

## Steps

1. Open the open delivery from the **Lojistik Yönetimi › Giden Teslimat › Teslimatlar** (Logistics Management › Outbound Delivery › Deliveries) list.

2. On the **Paketleme** (Packing) card, click **Taşıma Birimi Oluştur** (Create Handling Unit).

3. Select the **Kap Cinsi** (Package Type) (the default is Karton (Carton)).

4. Optionally, select an **Ambalaj Ürünü** (Packaging Item) (it is not deducted from stock) and enter the **Dara (kg)** (Tare (kg)); if the tare is empty, the weight of the packaging item is used.

5. In the **İçerik** (Content) table, enter the **Bu Birime** (In This Unit) quantity per item, or click **Kalanın Tamamı** (All Remaining). If you are placing cartons onto a pallet, select the units under **İçine Konacak Birimler** (Units to Nest Inside).

   2. Packaging item — optional, not issued from stock
   3. Tare weight
   4. Puts the unpacked remainder into this unit
   5. Create

6. Click **Oluştur** (Create).

7. For labels, click **Etiketleri Yazdır** (Print Labels) (for a single unit, the row's **İşlemler › Etiket Yazdır** (Actions › Print Label)).

**Result:** The items are placed in handling units. The tare and the number of pallets of the units are included in the shipment's load calculation; after goods issue, packing remains read-only.

## What you need to know

- Packing is not a precondition for goods issue.
- An item can be placed in a unit up to its unpacked remaining quantity: *"…: en fazla N … paketlenebilir."* (…: at
  most N … can be packed.) A unit must contain at least one item quantity or one nested unit.
- The tare is between 0 and 100,000 kg; the note can have up to 256 characters.
- Delete an incorrect unit with the row's **İşlemler › Paketi Aç** (Actions › Unpack) menu: the items in it become
  unpacked, and the units in it move up one level.
- If another user changed the delivery at the same time, *"Bu teslimat bu sırada başka bir kullanıcı tarafından
  değiştirildi. Sayfayı yenileyip tekrar deneyin."* (This delivery was changed by another user in the meantime. Refresh
  the page and try again.) is displayed — refresh the page.
