# Define a driver

> Define our own driver or a carrier's driver — identity, driver's license and document expiry dates.

## Steps

1. Open the **Lojistik Yönetimi › Filo › Sürücüler** (Logistics Management › Fleet › Drivers) screen and click **Sürücü Ekle** (Add Driver).

   1. First and last name — required
   2. National ID — for the e-despatch driver
   3. License classes
   4. Own driver or carrier

2. Enter the **Ad** (First Name) and **Soyad** (Last Name).

3. If the person will appear as the driver on e-Delivery Notes, enter the **TC Kimlik No** (National ID No.); fill in the **Telefon** (Phone), **Ehliyet Sınıfları** (License Classes) (e.g. C, CE) and **Ehliyet No** (License No.).

4. In the **Taşıyıcı** (Carrier) field, select **Kendi sürücümüz** (Our own driver) or the carrier the driver works for.

5. On the **Belgeler** (Documents) tab, enter the expiry dates of the **Ehliyet** (Driver's License), **SRC Belgesi** (SRC Certificate) and **Psikoteknik** (Psychotechnical Assessment).

6. Click **Oluştur** (Create).

   1. New driver
   2. License classes
   3. Own driver or carrier driver

**Result:** The driver can be selected as the **Sürücü** (Driver) on a shipment; our own driver on shipments executed by our own fleet, a carrier's driver on that carrier's shipments.

## What you need to know

- The national ID number is personal data: only users with the `erp-logistics-driver-identity.view` permission can see
  it; others see *"Kayıtlı — görmek için kimlik izni gerekir"* (Recorded — the identity permission is required to view
  it). For an invalid number, *"TC kimlik numarası geçersiz."* (The national ID number is invalid.) is displayed.
- **Geçerlilik Bitişi** (Valid Until) is required on every document line (*"N. belgenin geçerlilik bitişini girin."*
  (Enter the expiry date of document N.)).
- A driver cannot be deleted; set it to inactive instead. An inactive driver cannot be selected on a shipment.
