# Open a carrier tender

> Request bids from carriers for a planned shipment, enter the responses and decide on the winner.

  - The shipment is in **Planlandı** (Planned) status; the shipment has no other open tender.
  - The companies to be invited are [defined as carriers](https://erpdocs.corexlogic.com/en/lojistik/islemler/tasiyici-tanimlama).

## Steps

1. On the **Lojistik Yönetimi › Taşıma › Taşıyıcı Seçimi ve İhale** (Logistics Management › Transportation › Carrier Selection and Tendering) screen, click **İhale Oluştur** (Create Tender) (it can also be opened with **İhaleye Çıkar** (Put Out to Tender) from the **Taşıyıcı Seç** (Select Carrier) window in the shipment details).

2. Select the planned shipment in the **Sefer** (Shipment) field.

3. Enter the **Cevap Son Tarihi** (Response Deadline) (it must be in the future; the default is tomorrow at 17:00) and write the **Not** (Note) for the carrier.

4. Under **Davetliler** (Invitees), add the carriers with **Taşıyıcı ekle** (Add carrier); if they will be invited by e-mail, enter the e-mail address.

5. Decide on the **E-posta** (E-mail) option: if enabled, invitees with an e-mail address receive the shipment plan, cargo and destinations (no prices are included). Turn it off if you will take bids by phone.

6. Click **İhaleyi Aç** (Open Tender).

7. When the carrier's response arrives, click **Cevap Gir** (Enter Response) on the invitee row; enter the **Teklif** (Bid) amount and currency (or select **Reddetti** (Declined)) and click **Kaydet** (Save).

8. On the row of the winning carrier, click **Karar Ver** (Decide) and confirm with **Karar Ver** (Decide) in the window.

**Result:** The tender is closed, and the other pending bids become **Kaybetti** (Lost). The executor of the shipment is the winning carrier; its own fleet resources are removed from the plan, and its freight is the tender price.

## What you need to know

- Up to 20 carriers can be invited to a tender; the same carrier can be invited only once.
- E-mails are sent from a queue, and SMTP must be configured in the installation. If no invitee has an e-mail address,
  the tender is opened without e-mail. The row's **E-posta** (E-mail) column shows the status (Gönderildi (Sent) ·
  Kuyrukta (Queued) · Gönderilemedi (Could not be sent) · Gönderilmedi (Not sent)).
- For an open tender whose response deadline has passed, **Son tarih geçti** (Deadline passed) appears next to its
  status.
- A decision can be made only for a carrier that has submitted a bid, and the shipment must be planned (*"Sefer artık
  planlı değil — karar verilemez."* (The shipment is no longer planned — no decision can be made.)). Because the
  decision changes the shipment, the `erp-logistics-transports.edit` permission is required.
- If the freight is later recalculated from the agreement, it replaces the tender price.
- To abandon the tender, use **İptal Et** (Cancel) (**İptal Nedeni** (Cancellation Reason) required); the shipment
  remains as it is.
