# Enable an alert and set its threshold

> Enable a scheduled alert that starts disabled (e.g. Pending approval reminder), set its threshold in hours or days, and save.

Alerts are defined in the system and all of them start disabled. An alert you enable is checked once an hour; the
same finding is not notified repeatedly (at the frequency stated in the alert's description: once a day, once a
week, or once).

## Steps

1. Open the **Yönetim › Özelleştirme › Genel › Uyarı ve Bildirim Yönetimi** (Administration › Customization › General › Alert and Notification Management) screen; the **Uyarılar** (Alerts) tab opens.

   4. Threshold — hours or days; empty = default
   5. Recipient and channel
   6. Run Now — without waiting for the hourly run

2. Find the alert with the **Ara** (Search) box (e.g. 'onay') and set the switch on the row to **Açık** (On).

3. Enter the number in the **Eşik** (Threshold) box and select **saat** (hours) or **gün** (days) from the list next to it. If left empty, the default threshold applies.

4. Click **Kaydet (N)** (Save (N)) in the toolbar. **Geri Al** (Undo) discards unsaved changes.

**Result:** The alert is enabled and checked in the hourly run; if there is a finding, a notification is sent to the people in the **Kime gider** (Sent to) column. The **Son çalışma** (Last run) column fills after the next run.

## What you need to know

- The threshold is a whole number; at least 1 hour, at most 30 days (720 hours). An invalid threshold is reported
  on the row ("Eşik tam sayı ve sıfırdan büyük olmalı." — The threshold must be a whole number greater than zero.,
  "Eşik en çok 30 gün (720 saat) olabilir." — The threshold can be at most 30 days (720 hours).) and nothing is
  saved.
- Changing only the unit does not count as a change (48 hours = 2 days).
- **Şimdi Çalıştır** (Run Now) tries the enabled alerts immediately and produces real notifications; use it to send
  findings immediately, not just to test the setting.
- A person can turn off this notification or change its channel in **Profil › Bildirim Tercihleri** (Profile ›
  Notification Preferences).
