# Enable e-Document in the Test environment

> Set up the EDM integrator connection in the Test environment — user name, password, connection test, labels and series, document switches and the main switch.

- **Prerequisites:**
  - The integrator's Test account (user name, password) and the test VKN (tax ID) of that account.
  - A valid VKN, tax office and province/district in Şirket Bilgileri (Company Information).

This task is performed with a real integrator account and requires the organization's credentials; only an
authorized person performs it. A document sent in the Test environment does not go to GİB as a real document and
does not consume the live series.

## Steps

1. Open the **Yönetim › Özelleştirme › Finans › e-Belge Ayarları** (Administration › Customization › Finance › e-Document Settings) screen. On the **Genel** (General) tab, verify that **Ortam** (Environment) is **Test**.

2. On the **Bağlantı** (Connection) tab, in the **Test ortamı** (Test environment) section, enter the **Kullanıcı adı** (User name) and the **Test göndereni VKN** (Test sender tax ID), then click **Kaydet** (Save) at the bottom of the panel.

3. In the same section, click **Parola gir** (Enter password), type the password and click **Parolayı kaydet** (Save password).

4. Click **Bağlantıyı Sına** (Test Connection). The result is shown below the row; the connection and remaining credits appear on the **Durum** (Status) tab.

5. On the **Etiketler ve Seriler** (Labels and Series) tab, enter the GB/PK labels and the series; on the **Belgeler** (Documents) tab, the document types to enable; then **Kaydet** (Save).

6. On the **Genel** (General) tab, turn on the **e-Belge etkin** (e-Document enabled) switch and click **Kaydet** (Save).

**Result:** e-Document is enabled in the Test environment: finalized invoices go to the integrator's test account, and the inbox is retrieved at the polling interval. To go live, resolve the blocking items on the **Canlıya Geçiş** (Go-Live) tab.

## What you need to know

- Turning on the main switch and switching to **Canlı** (Live) requires the **Etkinleştir** (Activate)
  permission; without it, fields other than this change can still be saved ("Açmak ya da canlıya almak
  "Etkinleştir" yetkisi ister; bu değişiklik olmadan kaydedebilirsiniz." — Enabling or going live requires the
  "Activate" permission; you can save without this change.).
- **Bağlantıyı Sına** (Test Connection) works with the saved setting; save first.
- If the installation is a test installation, Live cannot be selected and the live password is not saved — the
  server says "Bu kurulumda canlı e-Belge ortamı kapalı (EDocuments__LiveAllowed=false): test ortamı canlı
  entegratöre bağlanmaz." (The live e-Document environment is disabled in this installation
  (EDocuments__LiveAllowed=false): a test environment does not connect to the live integrator.)
- When going live, the confirmation dialog lists the blocking items; while there is an item, **Canlıya geç ve
  kaydet** (Go live and save) is disabled.
